travel: Italy

Puglia and the Amalfi Coast, each with their own distinct charm, offer some of the most breathtaking scenery and architecture in Italy. In Puglia, the landscape is defined by endless olive groves, whitewashed hill towns, and a coastline that shifts between rocky cliffs and soft sandy beaches. The towns of Ostuni and Alberobello feel almost otherworldly — the former glowing in the sunlight like a chalk drawing, the latter known for its trulli, conical-roofed stone houses that look like they belong in a fairy tale. The architecture here is humble yet poetic, shaped by centuries of rural life and Mediterranean influence.

In contrast, the Amalfi Coast sweeps dramatically along the cliffs of southern Italy, where villages like Positano and Ravello seem to spill into the sea. Pastel-colored houses cling to the rugged slopes, staircases wind through fragrant lemon groves, and the Mediterranean sparkles below like glass. The atmosphere is both timeless and cinematic, with narrow alleyways leading to hidden terraces and centuries-old churches. Everything feels suspended between sky and sea — a place where history, beauty, and serenity converge with effortless elegance.
